Finally A New Soundtrack

I know I’ve been talking about this forever but I have finally compiled a new mix I think I might be happy with. It will making it big debut tonight at the my Galleria class. Usually I have to tweak it a few times after I start using it but hopefully it will work. For those of you who have been with me a while I know this is long overdue and I appreciate your patience. I am fairly certain you could all recite every lyric and tell me which move it corresponds to. No longer! You now have some new songs to learn. While the last CD was still a mix, it was all by one artist. This mix is different in that it is a compilation of various artists, including but not limited to: Sia, Moby (new), Flunk, Frou Frou, and more. Please let me know what you think!

Hopefully it will be ready in the next couple of weeks and we can test it out in class and you can let me know what you think. I think it’s definitely time for a fresh soundtrack! See you all in class!

Pandora’s Box Is Filled With Music!

February 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I would just like to share one of my new favorite finds with all of you. I love music and if I could be surrounded by it 24 hours a day I would be. I often wish I could have my own personal soundtrack and this is as close as I have gotten! Pandora.com creates music “stations” just for you based on your musical preferences. I have no idea how it works nor do I really care just as long as it keeps cranking out tunes especially for me! I am discovering all sorts of artists that I had never heard of. If you’re a music lover, this site is for you! The best part? It’s FREE!

What’s a Moby?

February 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The music we listen to in my Pilates classes right now is all by one artist, though it may sound like several. The artist is Moby and the two albums I have pulled songs from to create my Pilates mix are 18 and Play. I hope to have a new mix for us incorporating some new artists in the coming months.                                                                    Moby Play         Moby 18

A Disc or a Dollar

February 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Many of you have requested copies of the music that I use in class. I don’t mind making copies at all! Just bring either a blank disc or a crisp one dollar bill to class (to cover the cost of a disc) and I will be happy to bring you a copy the next week. Watch for further posts about the music we hear in class!
